Tip 2 – McLaren and Salesforce

McLaren Racing recently announced that it will partner with Salesforce.

“McLaren will use Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and MuleSoft to engage its fans from anywhere with relevant and personalised content to build life-long relationships”

Tip 2 – Learn MOAR

The Spring ’23 release trailmix is live and it’s for Admin or Developers.

Tip 3 – EinsteinGPT

It’s been the talk of the town for a few weeks now. And finally, in San Francisco last week at TrailblazerDX 2023, EinsteinGPT was officially announced.

“Einstein GPT is built on top of OpenAI’s technology, but customers can bring their own AI models or use one that comes out of the box from Salesforce…”

 

 

 

 

 

 

Tip 4 – DevOps Summit

DevOps Summit is happening next week (Thursday 23rd). The keynote talk will take you through the findings of the State of Salesforce DevOps Report 2023.

AppExchange Learn is a great place to learn more about Salesforce from the AppExchange and partners.

Last month it was announced that Customer Data Platform will be now known as (wait for it…) Salesforce Data Cloud for Marketers.

There are a few in-person Salesforce User Groups happening in February (in the UK).

They included Reading (9th),  Cardiff (16th), Birmingham (16th), London Dev (22nd), Bristol (23rd)…

As you know, I’m co-organiser of the Salesforce Manchester User Group. Our event will be on Wednesday 22nd.

Speakers including Mark Lewis, Head of Training at Cloud Galacticos, and some of the team at Slalom talking about Genie and Snowflake.

Tip 1 – Profile Based Permission

Profile Based Permission

Salesforce has recently announced the end of life (EOL) of profile based permission.

It’s not till the Spring ’26 Release, so there is still plenty of time to properly plan how you’re going to implement these changes!

Our Senior Salesforce Consultant, Val, says: “I’ve discovered in the last week, whilst comparing permissions in profiles to those in permission sets, that permissions assigned to profiles actually use the same tables as those assigned via permission sets.

They use a permission set but that permission set has a profile Id which provides a one-to-one relationship for a permission set to a profile”

Albanian Dreamin is back for 2023 on 29th April.

It’s ‘the Community Powered Conference to activate, empower and strengthen the Salesforce potential through assistance, education, networking!‘
